HOW IS THE SESSION?
You already have almost everything ready for the arrival of your baby, a thousand preparations so that everything is perfect on the day of birth... and once the baby is born, time will fly by, and in less than you think you will be celebrating its first year . Photography has the magic of making you remember those moments and remember your baby again as he was in his first days.
Newborn sessions are really special and unique, those first days of life will be a memory forever. I make them at your home for your comfort and that of your baby. It is a very delicate session where I photograph the sleeping baby, with different postures and outfits (always with a timeless and minimalist style), capturing all the details of his first days of life. Their first smiles and gestures when sleeping, their little fingers, their skin...
Patience, passion and care are essential for this type of session.
I always work respecting the baby's times, taking care of their safety and well-being. For this, I have received specific training on newborns with top-level international professionals.
Although the baby is the protagonist, the session also includes photographs with the parents and their siblings, if any.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO CARRY OUT THE SESSION?
The session is carried out in the first 15 days of the baby (ideally between the 5th and 10th day), when he is still sleeping soundly, does not have colic, has better skin and maintains the fetal position in which he is comfortable, Like when I was in the tummy.
At this stage they are very flexible and sleepy, which makes it easier for them to be placed in different positions and to be asleep throughout the session.
After those first 15 days, the baby begins to change, it is no longer so flexible and it is more difficult to carry out a classic newborn session as such, although you can do a different session, less posed, lifestyle type.
WHERE IS IT DONE AND HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION LAST?
I do the photo sessions on weekends in Madrid.
For me the most important thing is that both the baby and their parents feel comfortable, I go to the parents' home with everything they need to carry out the session.
Each baby is different and needs a different adaptation period. It takes a lot of patience and calm to get the desired result in the photos. That is why each session is different and the duration is set by its protagonist (stopping when he has to eat, when he cries, etc.), but approximately the duration of the session will be about 3 hours. The usual thing is to start first thing in the morning, which is when the baby is least tired.
